Would you believe me if I told you that, hours before this wedding, the weather forecast showed 90% chance of rain during the ceremony but then we never got even one drop the whole day? I guess if you’re from Dallas, you’d probably believe that. But the forecast was foreboding enough that Adam and Alex had to make the call to move their outdoor, skyline view reception into the STUNNING lobby of the building below. Thankfully, the lobby had floor to ceiling windows to show off the buildings around us and we still got to take some portraits of them alone outside, capturing the city that they love so much.

So now the lake is even more important in their lives, because that is where he brought her instead of taking her to the fancy dinner she was expecting to celebrate going under contract. But don’t worry! She still got her fancy dinner. It was just a few hours later, after they drank their customized champagne and wandered through wildflower fields. Which only stressed me out a little/lot since Alex was barefoot and I didn’t want her lasting memory of me to be that she got eaten alive by bugs during their photos. If she did, she didn’t tell me, and for that I’m grateful.
